ဇွန်လ 17 ရက် ဗုဒ္ဓဟူးနေ့တွင် Kigali ၌ တစ်ရက်တာတွေ့ဆုံမှုတစ်ခုသည် မျိုးသုဉ်းလုနီးပါးဖြစ်နေသော တောင်ဂေါ်ရီလာကို ထိန်းသိမ်းစောင့်ရှောက်ရန်အတွက် ရည်စူးထားပြီး ၎င်းတို့အနက်မှ 800 ထက်နည်းသော ယခုအခါ Rwanda၊ Uganda နှင့် DR Congo နိုင်ငံတို့ရှိ တောင်ထူထပ်သောနယ်စပ်ဒေသများတွင် ရှင်သန်နေပါသည်။ "Gorilla Conservation for Challenges and Opportunities for Greater Virunga in the Greater Virunga Gorilla Conservation for Challenges and Opportunities for Gorilla Conservation in the Greater Virunga Massive" ခေါင်းစဉ်အောက်ရှိ လမ်းပြမြေပုံကို ဆွေးနွေးပြီး အကြမ်းဖျင်းဖော်ပြရန် ယမန်နေ့က Kigali တွင် ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းနှင့် လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်း၏ ကြီးမားသော အစုအဝေးကြီးတွင် ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းနှင့် လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်း စိတ်ဝင်စားသော အဖွဲ့များ အများအပြား စုဝေးခဲ့ကြသည်။
ကုလသမဂ္ဂက ၎င်းအား "ဂေါ်ရီလာနှစ်" အဖြစ် ကြေညာထားပြီး၊ စနေနေ့တွင် "Kwita Izina" အတွက် တစ်ပတ်ကြာကျင်းပသည့် ပွဲတော်များ၊ အစည်းအဝေးများနှင့် နှီးနှောဖလှယ်ပွဲများ၏ အထွတ်အထိပ်ကဲ့သို့ ရဝမ်ဒါရှိ လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်အများအပြားကို မျှော်လင့်ထားသည်။ ရဝမ်ဒါသည် ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်းတွင် လူသိများလာခဲ့သည့် ဤတောရိုင်းတိရစ္ဆာန်သယံဇာတ ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနှင့် စီးပွားရေးအသုံးချမှု ရေရှည်တည်တံ့စွာ အတူယှဉ်တွဲနေထိုင်ရေးကို အာရုံစိုက်ရန် ကူညီပေးမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ လွန်ခဲ့သော 1994 နှစ်က ၁၉၉၄ ခုနှစ် လူမျိုးတုံးသတ်ဖြတ်မှု ပြာပုံမှနေ၍ တိုင်းပြည်ပြန်လည်ထမြောက်လာသည်နှင့်အမျှ ရေရှည်တည်တံ့ခိုင်မြဲသောခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းသည် စီးပွားရေးလုပ်ဆောင်မှုများ၏ ရှေ့တန်းမှနေ၍ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်လာကာ ခရီးသွားကဏ္ဍသည် အခြားသော ပင်မကဏ္ဍများကြားတွင် မြင့်မားလာပါသည်။
RDB/ORTPN သတင်းရင်းမြစ်များအရ အစည်းအဝေး၏ တွေ့ရှိချက်များနှင့် အကြံပြုချက်များအတိုင်း ယခုကျင်းပမည့် ပဉ္စမနှစ်တွင် “Kwita Izina” နှင့်အတူ ကျင်းပမည့် ဒုတိယအကြိမ် ကွန်ဖရင့်အစည်းအဝေးဖြစ်သည်။ အနာဂတ်တွင် ORTPN မှဆောင်ရွက်သော မူဝါဒဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်များနှင့် ထပ်လောင်းထိန်းသိမ်းမှုအစီအမံများတွင် ပါ၀င်ပါသည်။ ORTPN ၏အကြီးအကဲနှင့် Rwanda ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်ရေးဘုတ်အဖွဲ့၏လက်ထောက်အမှုဆောင်အရာရှိချုပ် Rosette Rugamba က ဂေါ်ရီလာခြေရာခံခြင်းသည် နိုင်ငံအတွင်း ခရီးသွားဧည့်သည်များ၏ လှုပ်ရှားမှုများစွာကို ဆက်လက်လုပ်ဆောင်နေသော်လည်း ကမ်းလှမ်းထားသည့် ခရီးသွားထုတ်ကုန်များကို ကွဲပြားစေရန် ကြိုးပမ်းလုပ်ဆောင်နေကြောင်း ထပ်မံအတည်ပြုခဲ့သည်။ အထူးသဖြင့် စျေးကွက်ချဲ့ထွင်ခြင်းဆိုင်ရာ ပံ့ပိုးကူညီမှုများကြောင့် ဧည့်သည်များ ပိုမိုလက်ခံလာခဲ့သည့် ညောင်ဝေ အမျိုးသားဥယျာဉ်၊ မကြာသေးမီက မွေးဖွားခဲ့သော ဂေါ်ရီလာကလေးငယ်များအတွက် အဓိကအမည်ပေးသည့် အခမ်းအနားကို မီးတောင်အမျိုးသားဥယျာဉ် သို့မဟုတ် “Parc de Volcanoes” အနီးတွင် စနေနေ့တွင် ကျင်းပမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ရဝမ်ဒါသည် အင်္ဂလိပ်နှင့် ပြင်သစ်ဘာသာစကားများအပြင် ပင်မဘာသာစကားဖြစ်သည့် “kinyarwanda” မှလွဲ၍ အင်္ဂလိပ်နှင့် ပြင်သစ်တို့ပါ ဘုံဘာသာစကားဖြစ်သည့် နိုင်ငံဖြစ်သောကြောင့် ဖြစ်သည်။

- The United Nations has declared this as the “Year of the Gorilla,” and it is hoped that the many activities in Rwanda – like the culmination of a week-long series of festivities, meetings, and seminars towards “Kwita Izina” on Saturday – will help to focus on sustainable coexistence of conservation and economic utilization of this wildlife resource, for which Rwanda has become known across the world.
- Rosette Rugamba, head of ORTPN and deputy CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, who also spoke at the event, reaffirmed that while gorilla tracking still made up the bulk of tourist visitor activities in the country, efforts were underway to diversify the tourism products on offer, in particular the Nyungwe National Park which has started to receive more visitors as a result of extra supporting marketing activities.
- This was the second such conference meeting of its kind to be held alongside “Kwita Izina,” itself now in its fifth year, which will, according to RDB/ORTPN sources, become an annual event, as the findings and recommendations of the meeting would be absorbed into policy decisions and added conservations measures taken by ORTPN in the future.
